Chrono Stats 1.0 Released - Thursday, September 5, 2002

Version 1.0 of Chrono-Stats has been released. This is not an alpha or beta version, but is now an official stable release. The data file format hasn't changed, so an upgrade is as easy as replacing the files, no need to redo anything.

The new version is considerably faster (just when you thought it couldn't get any faster!), easier to use, contains new features, and all known bugs have been fixed.

On an AMD Duron 750 MHz processor with 312 MB of SDRAM it was able to parse 10.21 MB of logs in under 3 seconds.

Special Note for upgraders: Delete chrono-stats.cgi. Version 1.0 has split this file up into several scripts and thus chrono-stats.cgi is useless.

Chrono-Stats 1.2b Released - Friday, March 15, 2002

Chrono-Stats 1.2b is released with a few bugfixes. The main bugfix is the one that caused Chrono-Stats to fill up your webservers error log with useless lines. The lines werent actually errors, just the same warning would repeat itself over and over. But anyways, stop in the files section and pick up 1.2b :)

New release on the way! - Thursday, March 7, 2002

Finally, a new release of Chrono-Stats is on the way. A lot of features will be added, here's a list of new features that will be added:
- Individual weapon statistics
- New templates for stats
- Beta version web based admin panel
There will also be more features added, but those are the main ones. Chrono-Stats is being tested on a 400 MHz Celeron system, with 312 MB ram, and here's the performance statistics compared to PsychoStats:

Output of stat update on PsychoStats:
Stats last updated on 03/05/02 @ 05:20pm
2139 log files (29.58 MB) scanned in 19:26 minutes
Stats older than 100 days are ignored

Output of stat update on Chrono-Stats on the same logs:
Loading Library.. 0 seconds
Loading Ignore List.. 0 seconds
Parsing Logs.. 36 seconds
Saving database.. 1 seconds

The parsing engine in Chrono-Stats is very fast, and there is almost no slowdown in the speed of it as new features are added. Look forward to the next release of Chrono-Stats, expected within the next 2 weeks.
